Salvete. Welcome to the end of secrecy. This is a website that was written with the explicit purpose of revealing the (meta)physics and principles behind magic, both an art and science that has been, for ages, kept out of the public eye. I hold the acceptance of magic by modern science as a firm goal, albeit a distant one. I feel it would be foolish to say, considering all of our discoveries and developments over the recent century, that we have discovered all things in existence. Modern science has discounted many credible theories and discoveries simply because they seem impossible (specific examples will be cited further down). This I intend to rectify as soon as possible. But first, a few introductory clarifications.

Science is a method. For too many people, the word "science" connotes pasty white guys in lab coats. You don't need a degree in order to follow a scientific method of empiricism. Empiricism is defined as "The method or practice of an empiric; pursuit of knowledge by observation and experiment." Science and logic, although occasionally lacking, are the best ways we have of explaining the world around us. After that, in comes philosophy, but that can get hairy. I will present examples of all of these, along with any required logical support.

Magic, by my definition, is the process of utilizing physics or metaphysics that are not readily accepted by a given society. Thus magic and mysticism to one culture, may be things as usual to another. To be a bit more specific, magic, as we know it, will almost invariably involve mechanics and methods that will boil down to an expression of will in order to force the surrounding world to conform. The rest of this site will attempt to explain what magic is, in more detail, and how it works. Even after that, I will try to provide a few links to other sites that may be prove to be helpful. Oblecte et accipe bene.

Notice To Accomplished Magicians
I would like to make this an open invitation for anyone who would like to have their voice heard here. I am constructing a page for user articles. If you can be considered a reputable magician/theorist and would like to see a topic addressed here, then address it. E-mail essays to me at the address given on the Contact button as an attachment. And remember, just because you mail it to me DOES NOT MEAN it will end up being posted. I will filter them accordingly. However, if you are a good magician with a logical standpoint and your linguistic skills are superior to those of a 6th grader, then you should have nothing to worry about. Thanks in advance to all participants.

[Mar 7, 2003]   -   Props be to Willie once again for supplying us with a phpbb2 forum. We are expanding quickly and looking spiffy so far. You can join the official IRC channel on DALnet (#objective_reality), you can join the official forum that is linked to above, or you can just sit there and leech information from all of the hard working people. It's pretty much a win/win situation. The forum and IRC channel are just getting off the ground, so don't expect anything grand right off, but they are a great place for ideas.

[Mar 5, 2003]   -   There was a little mix up with the email address on the contact button. Apologies to anyone who tried to use it. I should be ready to fly now. magic@willieg.net. Also, I straightened out a '\''/' problem with the buttons that may have caused some problems with some versions of Netscape. A '\' causes the buttons to be read as a seperate directory. A '/' causes the buttons to be a read as a seperate address. Apologies for that too, Nutscrape users.

[Mar 4, 2003]   -   I wasn't quite satisfied with the loads of unnecessary strain that I put myself through two days ago, so I had to upgrade again. I added a Submitted Article's section, got rid of Creationism and Satanism and massed them into Philosophy with a small amount of new material, added a Links page, and a few aesthetic changes sprinkled about. I've got some ideas working for Quotables and Epiphanies pages. These will have to wait for another upgrade. Until then, I will keep working on my own skill, as I hope you all are.

[Mar 2, 2003]   -   Surprise! We now have a new host. I have done some mad overhauling on the entire site and made some great additional progress towards carpal tunnel syndrome. I have added an Intermediate Magic page and have revised the Beginner's Magic page. And, after further thought, I may add an Advanced Magic page after all. Although, most of the things that I can think to put on that page, I have not even yet accomplished myself. So, that may be a while. Props to my best friend, Willie, for the hosting and props to me for mad progress.

[Feb 12, 2003]   -   I have overhauled the entire front page and am working on some ideas for a few additional pages. Upon a bit of contemplation, I revised the physics page regarding the classification of heat as energy. Thanks goes to Chris. R. for catching my oversight. I am currently arranging ideas for an Intermediate Magic page, to be written as a follow-up to the Beginner's Magic page. I would like to state upfront that there will most likely never be an Advanced Magic page. All of the feedback I've gotten so far is much appreciated.

[Jan 8, 2003]   -  Today I added a highly demanded Beginner's Magic page, made a few revisions to the creationism and essence magic pages, and made decent progress towards carpal tunnel syndrome. It seems to all be developing well, but still much to do.

[Jan 7, 2003]   -  First official update and still much work to do. Magical Physics page has been sufficiently revised for now. I added a spiffy little page outlining the mechanics of essence magic and made a few revisions to the front page as well. Growing slowly but surely.

[Jan 3, 2003]   -  Page first posted. Many revisions needed and will be provided when time, inspiration, and motivation all overlap. At this point, everything is new, so not much to see. Bookmark this site now and check back in a few days. It'll get better. No, seriously, it will. Until then though, courage.
